Terms of Use

The short version: keep your circle private, use it lawfully, and we'll keep it running.

Last updated 20 October 2026

1. The service

Aurisse is a private, end-to-end encrypted messaging service for closed circles, operated by [Operator name], [Address], Switzerland ("we"). Membership is by invitation only. By joining a circle you accept these terms and our Privacy Policy.

2. Your account and keys

Your account lives on your device and is protected by keys only you hold. Keep your phone and app-lock passcode safe. If you lose them, we can't restore your account or messages: no one can. An invitation is personal and works once; please don't share it.

3. Circles and owners

The owner of a circle decides who is invited and may remove members. Circle owners are responsible for whom they invite. A circle ordered from us stays active for the period paid; if a renewal isn't paid, it pauses 14 days after the end of that period, without deleting anything, until it's renewed.

4. Fair and lawful use

Don't use Aurisse to break the law, to harm others, to spread malware, or to attack the service. We can't see what you send, but we may close accounts or circles when we're lawfully made aware of serious abuse.

5. Availability

We work to keep Aurisse secure and available, and we update it regularly. The service is provided as it is: we can't promise it will never be interrupted, and you shouldn't rely on it as the only copy of anything important.

6. Liability

To the extent the law allows, we're not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss caused by events outside our reasonable control. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't legally be limited, such as for intent or gross negligence.

7. Intellectual property

Aurisse, its name, emblem, artwork and sounds belong to the operator. Third-party components keep their own licences, listed in Credits.

8. Ending

You can leave at any time by deleting your account in Settings. We may end the service with reasonable notice; owners of paid circles are refunded for any unused period.

9. Law and courts

These terms are governed by Swiss law. Courts at [seat of the operator], Switzerland, have jurisdiction, subject to mandatory consumer protections where you live.
